School Holiday Workshops

School holidays are for making, experimenting and getting properly stuck in.

Our 90-minute creative workshops give kids the chance to slow down and explore a creative process from start to finish. From clay and handmade paper to painting, tiny characters and creative journalling, each workshop introduces new materials and techniques while leaving plenty of room for their own ideas.

No templates. No pressure to make theirs look like anyone else’s. Just hands-on creativity, new skills and something they’ll be genuinely proud to take home.

CARDBOARD CREATORS:

This collaborative building workshop is where BIG ideas come to life! Little makers will get hands-on with real tools — including the kids’ favourite, the ChompSaw, a child-safe cardboard cutting tool — alongside cardboard, colourful tape, paint and plenty of interesting bits and pieces.

Will they build a giant robot? A rocket ship? A castle? A cardboard city? Together they’ll cut, construct, problem-solve and turn their ideas into one GIANT collaborative creation.

CLAY PLAY

Squish it, roll it, pinch it, build it.

A hands-on introduction to clay where little artists can explore its texture, consistency and endless possibilities. We’ll experiment with texture and learn basic hand-building techniques including pinching, coiling and joining.

Then it’s over to them to create! An underwater world, curious creature, hanging decoration, tiny treasure dish — or something entirely from their imagination.

PAPER MAKERS

From scraps to something beautiful.

Children will get hands-on with the whole paper-making process — shredding, mixing and blending recycled paper into pulp before learning how to turn it back into beautiful handmade sheets.

They can experiment with colour, dried flowers, confetti and other little details to make their paper completely their own.

Take it home and turn it into cards, bookmarks, artwork or a special keepsake.

WOODEN PEOPLE

Create your very own tiny wooden crew.

Using paint, fabric, felt, yarn and plenty of tiny creative details, little artists will transform simple wooden peg people into characters of their own.

Make your family, fairies, monsters, astronauts, superheroes — or characters nobody has ever dreamed up before.

SELF PORTRAIT STUDIO

What do YOU look like through your own eyes?

We’ll explore colour mixing, brushwork, shape and different painting techniques before little artists create their very own self portrait.

There’s no need to make it realistic or perfect. Wild hair, unexpected colours and a little artistic licence are very welcome.

CREATIVE JOURNALLING

(TWEENS + TEENS)

A creative space that's completely their own.

Everyone will receive their own journal to personalise and take home, while exploring creative journalling, mindfulness and simple creative habits they can continue long after the workshop.

A place to draw, write, collage, collect things they want to remember, get thoughts out of their head, experiment with ideas — or simply make something because it feels good.

No journalling experience needed and no pressure to share. There’s no right way to fill a page.

  • Not quite! Wild Way Studio is designed as creative exploration rather than a step-by-step art class.

    Children are encouraged to follow their curiosity, and create in their own unique way.

    Our art facilitator will gently float throughout the session to support, encourage, and inspire where needed, without pressure or perfect outcomes.

  • We recommend wearing comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting a little messy. While we use washable materials where possible, creativity can sometimes travel beyond the easel. Smocks are provided for children, but paint-covered hands and happy little messes are all part of the fun.

  • Just yourselves! We provide all materials and setup — you simply arrive ready to slow down, explore, create, and enjoy some quality time together.

  • Yes , we carefully choose child-friendly, non-toxic materials , and all activities are designed with young children in mind. As many classes include sensory and hands-on experiences, adult supervision is required at all times to help ensure materials are used safely.

  • Our classes are designed to be open-ended and child-led, with a variety of creative and sensory stations suitable for different ages, interests, and abilities. Some stations may include tools and materials such as child-safe chopping tools, loose parts, paint, clay, or sensory materials.

    Art facilitators will oversee use of chopping and cutting equipment and be on hand throughout the session to support, encourage, and help where needed, while allowing children the freedom to explore, create, and engage at their own pace.

  • Due to limited places and preparation required for each camp, bookings are non-refundable. If you can no longer attend, please contact us as early as possible and we'll do our best to help where we can.

  • Yes please bring nut and egg free morning snack for children.

  • That's completely normal. Our small group sizes help children feel comfortable and supported. We begin each session with a gentle welcome and collaborative activities to help everyone settle in and connect.
